It's getting more and more difficult to find the time to get these updates done. We've been so busy of late that it's difficult to make the time to tell the world of our successes. If we're not learning (and beating) new events, we're spending countless hours in zones across Norrath trying to level up, following the release of the new Seeds of Destruction expansion. After a week off following its release, we've spent time getting back up to speed so that we can continue our progression and uncover the Secrets of Faydwer.

Afer months of preparation and flagging, we've finally set foot inside Meldrath's Majestic Mansion and started working our way towards Meldrath himself. It's certainly challenging! So far we've spent a not inconsiderable amount of time killing what felt like an endless amount of random zone trash mobs to get to the events. The first event we overcame was Breakneck (above), after hours of spawning, fighting, ducking and kiting! While Breakneck proved to be something of a timesink, Krond (below) proved to me more a test of skill and readiness, but one we were able to master after a few practice runs.

Experience has taught us a valuable lesson: nothing stands up against Ancient Dominion for long. Watch this space as the progression bus continues its journey... and picks up speed!

In recent weeks, we seem to have misplaced something irreplaceable. Ogrebane, the self-proclaimed Avatar of Beauty, has mysteriously vanished without trace, leaving a void (about waist height) that is very difficult to fill (at least with anything that doesn't stand taller). The only clue we have to go on is this cryptic message from just before he vanished...

Who is this mysterious Ned?! And what has he done with the Mighty DORF?! Surely it would have to be some monster of incredible power to out-swoosh Doris!

In the meantime, creatures of all races and classes - mostly pigeons - have been flocking to his statue to pay their respects. The statue itself - placed in the middle of a remote desert on his own insistence so as to accommodate his many fans - has become a place to leave various offerings (thus far including four cigarette ends, a half eaten cookie and a wide variety of guano) in the hope that the gods of Norrath will see fit to return him to us. If you have any information that might help us locate our beloved DORF, do let us know straight away. He hasn't done his chores and frankly the guild hall is starting to look untidy!

Since our last update, we've also been visiting a couple of other new targets on a similar level to the Mansion. Bimbalicus the Soulbleeder was the first of these to fall - and very easily - to our efforts. On paper it looked like a challenging event and, while there are a lot of hard hitting enemies to overcome, we managed to make easy work of it from the outset and have returned to farm the event for some excellent loot ever since.

Last time I mentioned our visits to Bloodmoon to complete two very simple raid events that would give us access to a much more challenging (and rewarding) encounter. In September we took our first look at this event. It was certainly a challenge, that's for sure, but on just our first attempt we managed to snatch a victory from the jaws of what looked at one point like an almost certain defeat. Some tactical rezzing saw us recover well to defeat Ralkor Bloodmoon in a thoroughly enjoyable encounter to which we've returned several times since, and will visit again in the weeks to come.

So, after the break from raiding and our inevitable return, nothing really sums up the mood better than the quote I'll finish with this month. Until next time...
