The Fall of Daosheen 2007-06-30
News Update

It's taken us a good few attempts to get this mob where we want him, but we've finally got the situation nicely under control. Daosheen the Firstborn is one of the first true tests in the Prophecy of Ro expansion, and, as luck would have it, it's a test we finally past with flying colours... literally. A combination of brute force, superb mezzing, great add control and stategic crystal clicking finally came together for us to see this mighty beast fall.

This marks our first new blood since The Performer in May. Apparently going a few weeks without a first kill can make some people a little... err... eager.

Daosheen marks our most notable step into our next expansion and hopefully renew our determination to move onwards towards our next obstables: Sullon Zek and Suchun, Blood Warden of Solusek. More on those in future updates, I hope...

SOME THINGS TO THINK ABOUT...

...when you're feeling exceptionally generous...

...when trying to incur the wrath of the Committee for Equal Heights...

...when positioning mobs in the Demiplane...

...when coming up with warning messages...

...when coming to terms with death...

...when danger looms...

...when talking publicly about what you did at the weekend...

...when finalising the plan...

...when comparing abilities...

...when making some last minute adjustments...

...when preparing to engage...

...when you're keen to find out if your elocution course is worth the money...

...when the unthinkable happens...

Since we went a fair few weeks without a first kill, it's just as well we made up for it this month. Okay, so this isn't as big a deal as Daosheen the Firstborn, but nevertheless, a first kill is a first kill, and this was quite a fun fight to beat on the first attempt. Mad Mary-Anne, once known as Aedai, the physical manifestation of the music of Tuyen, is the third of six such beings in the Theater of Blood to have fallen to Ancient Dominion.

One more thing before I finish. Just in case anybody has forgotten, a certain Mayong Mistmoore is still owed a visit from Ancient Dominion's finest. I intend for us to be seeing more of him in July...

I'll leave you with yet more words of wisdom; this time from two of our members and pertaining to the proper disposal of an adversary. Until next time...
