Tier Two down. What's next? 2007-05-06
News Update

I know I don't get out much, but if I was going to see a band and they were so terrible that not only did they need constant prompting as to what the next line of their own song was, but their boss actually disliked them so much that he sent whole gangs of monsters to kill them mid-performance, I probably wouldn't go and see them again. And yet we've been several times of late! The Performer is probably one of the more intense scripts we've come up against in the Demiplane since we've been there. The activity is fairly constant and there's very little let up. Nevertheless, we finally managed to overcome it in style last night, much to the delight of all present. Well done!

We've spent a lot of time in the Demiplane recently, and we'll continue to do so for a while now we know we can clear all of Tier One and all of Tier Two. With Omens of War's end zone finally dropped from our official schedule, we now have a new farm zone.

Our Performer victory was very recent though... so what else have we been up to in recent weeks? Well...

April turned out to be an interesting month. It started with Sony's little April Fool's gag (pictured above), which had is all in stitches for the best part of a few seconds before we chose to ignore it and carry on.

What was slightly more notable, however, was our slow push into the Prophecy of Ro expansion, with a quite rewarding (yet challenging) visit to Razorthorn. This zone basically has three big raid mobs to kill, and a lot of trash.

First up, was a large dog by the name of Ghost. This flea-bitten example gave us quite an epic battle, but we soon got the hang of it and brought the animal under control on only our first attempt. Next up was yet another dog: Snowtail. We went in expecting a similar challenge, but this one made us about as nervous as its somewhat less than scary name, and we breezed through it without any problems whatsoever.

We'll certainly be back to farm these two canines though, as the loot is pretty decent and, as it happens, we need them dead in order to get to a somewhat more complicated lady...

Sullon Zek, daughter of our old friend, Rallos, is an altogether different affair. She's a rather angry young lady, and promptly demonstrated this to us without any shadow of a doubt. We'll be back to visit her again to try and calm her down in the near future (probably at a different "time of the month")!

SOME THINGS TO THINK ABOUT...

...when you aren't quite sure if the Monks are doing it on purpose...

...when you keep getting the same presents every single birthday...

...when you're thinking out loud...

...when you're choosing upgrades...

...when you think it's time to go...

...when you've finally got the knack...

...when regular threats just don't work...

...when you're trying to get some attention...

...when you're ready to learn from your mistakes...

...when you need a rebuff...

...when you believe you're invincible...

...when your friends think you might be developing something of a drinking problem...

...when something urgent comes up...

...when you meet a Scotsman...

...when you've found a nifty new way to travel...

...when you're preparing for the inevitable...

...when you're in a particularly evil mood...

...when you need some building work doing...

Prophecy of Ro isn't a huge expansion, but we've still got a fair bit to do there to get to the end zone. Part of it involves farming drops from a selection of named mobs in the Theater of Blood (darn US spelling!!). We've made a few visits to the zone recently and, while we don't necessarily like it that much, we're beginning to master some of the events we've come up against. So far, Anastasia the Thought Drinker and Gnarlibramble have already succumbed to our efforts and the loot they offered wasn't too bad at all, meaning the process might well become somewhat more bearable.

We'll be back there regularly from here on in to make sure everybody has the flag pieces they need (and hopefully some of the loot they want along the way). We've still got to overcome Vasella Fireblood and Valik the Cruel, who both managed to get the better of us on our scouting attempts, as well as Maestro Tan`lor and Mad Mary-Anne, neither of which we've met yet.

As always, I'll leave you with some words of wisdom; this time from everyone's favourite 'Nazi-Dorf', Jokskilove. Until next time!
